Both of my parents gave me the name
Stephanie. They named me this because they had heard of it and they liked it,
so that’s where I got my name from. I was not really named after anyone.
A story of when I was born was that when they were doing
an ultrasound on my mom’s stomach, a picture of my foot came out and the
doctor said that I was going to be a tall person because my foot was pretty
long. I‘m the oldest in my family followed by my brother who is 11 years old.
One thing that I remember is, when my brother was born, he had really, really
big eyes. I still remember that every time I tried to hold him he would always
start crying. The best part of spending time with my grandparents is that they
are really nice and they make great food.
My family is your typical kind of family. We do pretty
much everything together. The best holidays that my family celebrates are
Thanksgiving and Christmas, we also celebrate Halloween. One of the best times
that I have had with my family
is that every Christmas we do a gift exchange,
so it’s really fun.
Oxnard
is the only place that I have lived in. I was
born and raised in Oxnard. I really like it here because most of my family
lives here. Also because it’s close to mostly all stores from where I live.
The thing I like best about school would
have to be lunch time. Why? Well because I get to hang out with my friends,
and because I get to eat my favorite snack which are hot cheetos. What I hate about school is that every class is one
hour and a half.
Math would have to be my favorite subject because I get
most of the things the teacher teaches; in shorter words to me it’s easy.
English is definitely not my subject, because I sometimes don’t get what the
teacher is talking about. Sometimes it did give me small headaches, but not a
lot. One time in the 3rd grade I received a president’s award. Also
I’ve received awards for student of the month and other awards, too
I still don’t know what college I want to attend. I have
two in mind; they are UCSB, and
CSUCI. I plan to get there by getting good
grades and graduating from high school. I think I want to become a probation
officer, but I’m not sure yet. I chose this career because it doesn’t require
a lot of school time. Overall, I hope that I make it as far as I can. I will
try not to give up so easily. I will have to work hard in order to achieve
what I want. Hopefully I will be the first person in my family to go to
college.
