I would have to say that I have various hobbies and that I
enjoy doing a lot of
things
when I get the chance to. However I would have to say that two things soar up
far past the vast amount of hobbies, listening to music and of course my
favorite sport, soccer. But surfing does deserve a mention, as surfing is
something I will always enjoy doing, when I get that seldom opportunity to go
surfing.
Ever since the age of four, I have always encountered some
kind of interaction with my first true love, soccer. Due to the fact that my dad
has is a heavily talented soccer player, in his own right, it has always been a
need to play soccer in my family. I really do enjoy playing, and even though I
was forced to play at a young age, I have come to appreciate soccer greatly, and
even come to say that I have fallen in love with it. My favorite team is of
course the
Chivas de Guadalajara, a highly respected Mexican soccer team in the
Mexican
soccer league. I am of course Mexican, and even when I was young I was
always prepped to root for the Chivas, which should explain why I have a
deep love for that soccer team. However, my favorite player does not reside on my
favorite team and that would have to be
Adolfo Bautista. More commonly known as
“Bofo,” he has always been a great player, and even though he plays on another
Mexican team, I still don’t mind watching him play. He is a phenomenal talent, a
very special individual, and an extremely intelligent player, which is why he
claims the title of my favorite soccer player.
Other than soccer, I do enjoy listening to music, when I am
not doing one I am doing the other. Entering high school, I seemed to follow my
cousin’s crowd of listening to rock, and even though I grew love for various
bands,
Saosin
was the only real band I liked. But that lean towards rock soon
changed, and not taking after my cousin, I fell in love with hip hop. Balances
of music so extraordinary, with rhymes that not only make your ears tingle with
gratitude, but also evolve each and every individual with words of truth
and
meaning. At first, like most people,
Immortal Technique became the center of it
all, I knew nothing else, but after a while there grows an involvement with
KRS,
Murs, and
Non-Phixion, just to name a few. My current favorite artist would have
to
be
Murs, as I cannot stop listening to his 2006 track “Silly Girl.” He has a
new album, “Murs for President,” and even he’s signed to Warner Bros. its still
a must get. There’s no way that I can’t mention
Jedi Mind Tricks, very popular
among most people, and they recently reacquired an earlier artist,
Jus Allah, to
further acknowledge them as my favorite group.
