My parents named me Matilde
Lucrecia. My mom named me Matilde after my grandmother. My family wanted this
name to be in the family and not to be forgotten. Lucrecia was given to me
because my parents saw it on a Hispanic Calendar which it is used to name many
kids. The calendar is based on the month of the birth that someone is
born. Some names represent many saints that are really important for certain
religious people.
My family doesn’t have any
special story about me when I was born. My mom just told me that I was born at
night and that I didn’t cause her any pain. My mom has seven children I am the
second to the last one. I don’t remember anything when my brother was born,
actually I not able to remember much of my childhood. I remember my
grandparents; I remember their love and their sweetness toward us.
The special thing about my
family is that we will die for each other and we will be there for them no
matter what. My family is really important to me because they have taught me
many specials things that make me who I am. I especially enjoy been with them
on Christmas Eve because everything is really peaceful. I adored my mom's food
and my sister's special cakes.
I have lived in only two places. My birth
place in Oaxaca Mexico, I lived there for ten years with my sisters and brothers. The
second place is in
Oxnard, California this place is very important to me
because it brought me many opportunities. Both places are sacred to because
they have brought me all the good memories I have.
I like the clubs that are in my school because I can
relax there with my friends. I don’t like when all my teacher assign me
homework because I spend hours trying to do it and I don’t get time for
myself. I have participated in Success Club which is basically about getting
to have a better relationship with your parents and getting you to have
enough confident to trust yourself.
My favorite subject is Math because I am really good on
solving equations and I enjoy complicated problems. In math I can use my mind
in ways that nobody can. Furthermore this subject gives me opportunity to
develop my skills. English is a class that I struggle the most because I am
not very good on my grammar. Grammar for me is difficult because it implies
many rules that can be complicated. I have received a certificate from the
Migrant Program for my GPA score which was 3.4.
I want to attend to a
University of Arts because art is my main focus right
now.
I would like to get my Master degree on
Media
Arts Animation or creating
games with especial effects. My plan for the future is getting a good job and
be able to buy a big house for my parents and make them happy.
I wish that in the future everything
will end up working in my way. I just hope that all my dreams becomes reality
and I hope that in the in the future, I can have a better life with my family.
