My
parents named me Jonathan after my
cousin passed away. They were
actually going to come up with a name after I was born, but about 1 year
before I was born, he passed away. And all my uncles from my dad’s side of the
family’s name start with J and when my younger brother came he even had a J,
so we kept the tradition alive. I am three years older than my brother,
Justin. Another thing when I was born, I had big bushy black hair like you’ve
never seen before, now my hair is brown. They had to shave my head because I
was born with a cancerous mole on my head and had to get rid of it.
My grandparents on my mom’s side of the
family were there to see me when I was born and most of my aunts and uncles
from my mom’s side of the family as well. It was harder for my dad’s side to
make it since they lived in New Mexico, but one of his brothers Joe was there
to see it since he lives
Ventura.
When my younger brother Justin was born, the
only thing I can remember is walking through the parking lot after waking up
in the hospital walking to the car. He had to go through things like wiring to
measure his heart and all that, because he was premature or something, I’m
actually not to sure, but today he’s fine now. I lived with my grandparents
for a while after Justin was born because he always had to go to the hospital
to get checked on, and my parents couldn’t always watch me so I stayed with
them. They still visited us all the time, I don’t really remember that much of
it, and just I know I lived with them for a while.
One
unique thing about my family is that they are all football fans. My dad played
football, all my uncles, even their dads, and soon my brother will, so I can
probably say its part of my life. I always have to watch the games, even after
the games I had to see the highlights and the scores even if I knew what
already happened. When the Super Bowl comes around it’s almost a holiday
because like most people there’s always some kind of party for it. The best
Super Bowl party I can think of was a couple years ago when the
Patriots
played the Eagles, and me being a Patriot fan and my cousin a Eagles fan there
was a lot of talking going on as you could imagine, it was all just for fun
though. In the end my team one so that was the best part about it.
I lived in Canyon Country for a couple years
up until about I was five. Then we decided to move out to
Oxnard. We lived in
two different houses in Canyon Country, but in Oxnard it’s been 4 or 5
different houses. My favorite place I lived would have to be Oxnard because
it’s the only one I can really think of living here. But in Canyon Country
when we go up there every now and then to see family its always fun to go
there even though its so hot, it was over 105 degrees once when we visited,
but what the weird part is the winter we moved out of there, it snowed about
an inch or so, go figure.
