The name Gerardo was given to
me by my parents. The reason why my parents gave me this name was because I
was the first boy to born and they wanted to keep the tradition by naming me
after my father.
There few
stories about my birth. My dad told me that I was a big child and also that I
never stopped crying. The doctors told my family that something was wrong
with me, but at the end it wasn’t true. I am standing at the age of 18 years
old, and the oldest of my brothers. Actually when my little brothers were born
the youngest, Edgar, looked the same as me when I was born. I remember my mom
showing me this picture when I was born and I was identical to him. I spent
time with my grandparents most of the time because we live close and we are
always visiting them. Some of the best memories when I used to go to my
grandma’s house were that I used to climb on the roof and get oranges and she
always got mad for that reason.
Some of
the special traditions that my family and I celebrate is Christmas, is it one
of the main holidays that we celebrate because it is one of the happiest days
that we go through and we have a good time. There are few favorite memories
but I always enjoy the most when is Christmas time because I always get
something new or something that I like.
I born in Durango Mexico, I
lived there for almost thirteen years, but then we came to The United
States five years ago. Since then I have been living in
Oxnard California
which is one of the cities that I like mainly because of the weather, and also
because most of my family is in Oxnard. One city that I hated the most was
Bakersfield because the weather is way to hot, for the reason people decide to
stay home most of the time and it gets boring.
There are few things that I like about my school, are
having less classes instead of the full schedule, where we use to have last
year all six classes, now we have three or less.
What I dislike about school is the policy that you can’t
wear hats, which is one of the things that I hate the most.
One of
my favorite subjects was Economics, because I like learning about money,
business and how to keep track of the Economy. My least favorite subject was
Math, which was the only subject that I struggle with. When I was a Freshman I
received a couple of certificates because of my GPA.
I am planning to attend to
Oxnard College when I am done with High School. One of the reasons why I am
going there is because is really close to my house. My plans for my future
after school are just to work for a while to buy my car. I would like to study
Architecture because I am really good at designing; even though I am not good
at Math I have the skills to make good designs.
Having fewer classes in school
was one of the things that I enjoyed the most. One of my worst subjects in
school was Math I never liked it at all. I received couple of certificates
when I was. a freshman. My plans after high school are to attend to Oxnard
College and study Architecture.
