The name would be is Nichole, but you can call me whatever you'd like. Now normally the name Nichole is not spelled with an “H” in the middle, but I guess I'm just G like that. Another name my parents had picked out for me was Amelia; I’m glad my parents ended up not choosing that name. Not dissing the name Amelia or anything, I'm just happy with my name the way it is.

I am the oldest kid of 3 with one brother and a half sister. My brother Tony is just a short year and a half younger than me. While my little sister Jenny is half my age. I can still recall everything from the day she was born. Never again will I watch someone give birth. I remember my mom telling me stories of when I was born. She was in labor for 13 hours, until finally the doctors split her open to get me. When I did finally come in to the world it was with a full head of messy black hair and the biggest grin in the world on my face.

My family is pretty crazy. My parents divorced when I was about 3, and ever since I’ve been trading off living at both houses. It’s almost like living two completely different lives. At my mom’s house we don’t really have any set traditions, but at my dad’s we have spaghetti Wednesdays. Which is pretty much like it sounds; we eat spaghetti for dinner every Wednesday night.

My dad lives in Port Hueneme and he’s had that house even longer than I’ve been alive. I was born in Santa Barbra, but have lived in Oxnard my whole life. I love Oxnard, though I don’t plan on living here after high school. But this city will still forever be home.

One of my favorite things to do is dance. Put some music on and I’ll bust a move. I have been taking classes at Mackinnon Dance Academy for 9 years now, but recently broke my foot falling up the stairs (and yes I do mean UP), so I am still kind of recovering from that. I do tap, jazz, and ballet, though my favorite kind of dance is modern. I’m very active and love to be outside doing things like skateboarding, swimming, camping, snow boarding, and going to the beach. Overall, I’d say my favorite thing to do is to just hang out and party with my friends.

Recently I joined the track team here at Oxnard High. I’m not really a big sports fan, but track is a lot of fun. There are so many different events you can take part in, my favorite being high jump.  Hurtles are fun too, minus the face plants from tripping over it.

The best part of my high school is the cookies, though they were much better last year. None the less, they’re pretty bomb cookies. All warm and gooey, fresh out of the oven, with melt in your mouth bites of chocolaty chip goodness. It makes me hungry just thinking about it. Now what I like least about school… that’s a toughy, considering there are so many things I could write about, but that would go on for days. Overall I’d say my least favorite thing is just the attitude so many students have, that “I don’t give a crap what you say, I’ll do what I feel like” kind of attitude. It’s those students who make learning difficult for others because they become a distraction in the class room. Since they don’t give a damn about getting a proper education they figure the rest of the world shouldn’t either. Although I’m not doing anything particular to help with my education; I’m just getting through the basics.

My favorite subject is probably biology, mostly because I had a really good teacher. Also biology is definitely more interesting than say math, or English, or even computer classes. Math was the one subject that always gave me a head ache. Algebra 2, I dreaded 2nd period every day of the first term. I’m not that bad at math, it just gets so boring.

I do plan on going to collage though. Right now my school of choice would be UCSB. I love Santa Barbara, they have a good campus there, and it’s a major party school. My ideal job when I grow up would be a sky diving instructor. Sky diving just sounds like so much fun, and it’s the pay isn’t bad either. Although it’ll probably be awhile until I get to actually experience sky diving because most places you have to be 18. If I don’t become a skydiving instructor, I think I would like to do something in the fashion industry, weather its designing clothes or modeling.
