My name, Marcos, was given to me by both my parents. I was
named after my dad; his name is Marcos, too.
I’m not aware of having any stories of me when I was born.
I’m the second youngest in my family; I have one younger sister, one older
sister, and two older brothers. When my little sister was born, I remember I
used to carry her around a lot. I have a lot of memories with my grandparents,
but I would only see them when we went to Mexico or when they came over here to
visit. When they came to our house to visit they would take me to the park or
somewhere else but I would always be with them. When I went to Mexico, they
would show me all the interesting places there was in their town.
There are a lot of special things about my family. One
special thing is that we can talk to one another without being shy and that we
trust each other. My family and I invite all my uncles and aunts to our house on
Christmas Eve. On New Years Eve, we usually go to one of my aunts house and if
not we just invite them again to our house. My favorite memory is when I was
seven and on Christmas all my cousins and I just played all night. It was such a
fun night for us.
I haven’t lived anywhere else, I’ve lived in
Oxnard all my
life. I like Oxnard a lot because it’s a fun a place to live it is not boring
like other places. Also, I like it a lot because we have a good weather it’s not
to hot or to cold. I wouldn’t like moving anywhere else because I’m use to
Oxnard, its my hometown!
My
favorite hobby is skating. I started skateboarding about ten months ago. It’s
really fun because there’s always more tricks you want to do. For example, if u
could do all the basic tricks you’re going to want to start doing the harder
ones, so you practice more and more. I also like using my computer at home, I
like to chat with my friends, watch videos on Youtube, and play games. In my
spare time I usually practice skating or practice soccer. I dribble a ball to
improve my ball handling skills. If I’m,
tired I listen to music in my computer
or play my Xbox 360.
I’ve been playing soccer since I was little, my dad got me
into it when I was little. I play several; different positions I play forward,
middle either left or right and also I play center middle. I’ve been on a lot of
soccer teams. My first team was in AYSO with a team called Chipmunks. They won
second place in that league. After that I played with a team called Astros. My
current team was San Pablo. San Pablo became a club team, so, we travel to play
to other teams.
My brother and my cousins got me into basketball. I played
basketball with my junior high
school team, at

I was their starting point guard. We actually did pretty good, we got second
place in the league. After that I haven’t joined any other team but I still play
like with my friends for fun.
One of the reasons I like school is that I get to see my
friends and I get to hang out with them at lunch. I also like school because
everyday I learn something new. I dislike school because of many different
reasons. I dislike it because I have to wake up early in the morning and get
ready, I don’t like waking up early. Another reason I don’t like school is
because the classes are to long, they are 90 minutes long. It would be better
if we had six or seven classes instead of four.
Oxnard high School
has many teams or clubs that you can join. I tried out for the JV soccer team
my freshman year and I made it. I was excited because I didn’t know how it was
going to be. I liked it a lot, it was a good experience.
My favorite subject in school is math. I like math
because I like working with numbers. I think so far English gives me the most
headaches. Its not that I don’t like it-- it’s just sometimes it’s really
boring. I have received many awards and trophies. I have received trophies for
soccer and basketball. Also, I have received awards for Student of the Month
or Most Improved and many more.
I’m still not sure what trade school or college I want to
attend. But, I was thinking of going somewhere were I’m not to far
from
home so I can come visit my parents. For example I might want to attend
UCSB because it’s perfect not to far or to
close. I also don’t know what I might do, go to Oxnard College First then
transfer to UCSB or going straight to UCSB for four years. After high school
I’m going straight to a college or University. After I graduate from
University I might want to try and get my own house and start a family. In my
career in the future I would love to be a professional soccer player. I like
playing soccer a lot, since I was little I’ve wanting to go pro in soccer. It
would be a dream come true.
My parents named me Marcos because it’s my dad’s name
too. I like skating and playing soccer a lot. Those are like the only things
that I do. Skating is really fun because you try doing all the hard tricks
after you have mastered all the basic ones. Soccer is just and overall great
sport to me, I think because I’ve been playing it all my life basically. I
haven’t lived anywhere else, I’ve lived in Oxnard all my life. I like Oxnard a
lot because we have a good weather it’s not to hot or to cold it’s perfect.
