The name Hannah
was given to me by both of my parents at the hospital. They both liked the name,
but really my mom’s friend suggested the name. My parents really wanted to name
me Mallory, but they had a family friend whose kids name was Mallory. My mom
wanted my middle name to be Lilly after my great-grandmother, but my dad didn’t
really like it. My mom wasn’t really sure why, because she thought it was such a
pretty name. My grandmother wanted my middle name to be Lee, but neither of my
parents agreed on it because they thought it sounded like a part in the song
“Puff the Magic Dragon.” My parents both finally agreed on the middle name
Caitlin.
When I was little I was in a grocery cart, my brother and
his friend were both on the sides of the grocery cart, one of them decided to
jump off and the cart tipped over and I fell out. I hit my bottom teeth and my
mom was really scared that I was going to have some damage in my mouth. I really
don’t have any interesting stories from when I was little, but my family is
really close. My family, my brother and parents and I, would always go to my
grandparents house. The thing I remember the most about going to
my grandparent’s house is that I would always go in their kitchen and color in
the coloring books. I am sixteen now and my brother is two years older than me,
which makes him eighteen. I am the youngest sibling in the family, and the only
girl, besides my mom of course. My brother and I are very close, which a lot of
people find kind of weird because we are so close in age. I guess most kids that
are my brothers and my age are not very close. Of course we argue, but what
siblings don’t? I always had one dog, her name was Torrie, she was a golden
retriever and I loved her with all my heart. We recently had to put her to sleep
because she was fourteen years old. She had a really hard time walking up and
down our stairs, which happened to be really steep. Unfortunately, we all
realized that she wasn’t going to live much longer and decided that we should
put her out of her misery, this was the saddest day of my life so far, and I

Every year for my family we go to my aunt’s house for
Thanksgiving. She lives in Santa Monica and we live in Oxnard, which is about an
hour and a half away from her house. We used to go to my grandparent’s house
every Christmas, but they moved to a smaller house and not everyone can fit in
there on Christmas anymore. We now
have
Christmas and Easter at our house; our house is big enough to fit our whole
family. My other grandparents, who live in Colorado, will sometimes come to our
house for Christmas, which is always a pleasant surprise. I do miss when we used
to go to their house, but this way we don’t have to drive anywhere and we get to
make the Christmas dinner, which is always my favorite part of the holidays. I
always help my mom cook big meals for big holidays; I find this a good way to
bond with her.
I was born in Ventura, but I have always lived in Oxnard. I
have never lived anywhere else, but I have moved down the street from my house
many times. I have never liked moving, but everyone has to do it every once in a
while. I have always had nice houses, and always loved where I lived. I have so
many good memories of the houses I have lived in. One of the memories I have
when I lived in my old house was that my cat had kittens in the middle of the
night and me and my mom had no idea what to do,
luckily our neighbor was a veterinarian and knew what to do. I liked that house
the best, because I lived in it the longest. I moved out of it when I was ten,
and I was not happy about having to move. Although I loved that house, I love
the house I live in now almost as much. I have never lived anywhere else but
Oxnard, and I really don’t plan on moving anywhere else until I leave for
college.
My favorite hobby is hanging out with my friends; they are
pretty much my life. I don’t think I would be able to do anything without them.
I have a lot more than one best friend, a best friend to me is someone who is
going to be there for you when you need them, I can trust all of my friends to
be there for me. My friends and I are always
hanging
out, especially on the weekends. I love to shop with my friends, because when I
ask their opinion on what I look like in something, they will give their honest
opinion. On the weekends my friends and I always go to the beach and just
hangout. I also love to listen to music, my favorite band would have to be Hello
Goodbye, they have really good music. My favorite song by them is “Here in Your

I played many sports when I was little. I did gymnastics for
five years, from the age of five to the age of ten. I decided that gymnastics
just wasn’t for me. I also did softball in first grade, when I was about six, I
only did it for one year but I enjoyed it while it
lasted. Now, I play water polo and swim at Oxnard High School. I love playing
water polo, I have met many wonderful people, some of them are even my best
friends now. I really just swim because I like it, most people think its boring,
but when you get to swim in meets, it is really fun.
My favorite thing about school is that I always get to see my
friends and that I get to play water polo. I love playing water polo; most of my
friends are also in water polo. It’s nice to be able to hang out with my friends
and play the sport I love all at the same time. The best thing about school is
that we can hangout, joke around, and still work
hard
at the same time. The worst part of school would have to be homework, I'm sure
I’m not the only one who thinks that. It isn’t fun having to sit inside all
night doing something you don’t want to be doing. I get really bored when I’m
doing things I already know, like when we do almost the same exact thing in
class that day and then have to do it for homework.
In water polo I play the point, which is the person who
guards set. The set players are usually a lot bigger than me, because they have
to have a lot of strength. I'm really small, but that doesn’t mean I can’t be
tough. I have had a couple of injuries playing in that position, but you learn
to get through them without crying or acting hurt. On the swim team I swim
butterfly, breaststroke, and freestyle. We have individual events
and group events. When you are in a group event, you swim with four people;
three not including yourself, there are a lot of events that you can swim with
others. My favorite group event is the 200 I.M.; it is a fun event because you
get to see all the other strokes that you do in swimming. There are many types
of strokes, but the main ones are butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and
freestyle. My favorite stroke out of all four of those would have to be
breaststroke. Most people think it is such an easy stroke, but when they have to
get in there and do one hundred yards of it, then they can get out and tell you

I really think that my favorite subject in school right now
is chemistry, because we get to do fun experiments and still learn about it. The
other thing I like the most about that class is that the teacher helps us
understand what we need to know about everything.
Everything
that we do for homework is what we learned in class that day. The experiments we
do are in groups, and that makes it more fun. We basically get to meet new
people, since we don’t know everyone in our class and it’s nice to get to know
new people. My least favorite subject in school, however, has been geography. It
is my least favorite because I feel like I didn’t learn anything that I didn’t
already know. I had geography in sixth grade, and I didn’t know why we should
take it again. I had already learned everything that I thought I should learn,
and I didn’t see the point of taking a class that I already knew all about.
When I get out of high school I plan on going to Ventura
college, I don’t think that going to some big university is going to do all that
much for me. My family doesn’t really have enough money to be paying for
intuition anyways. I really feel like going to a community college would be the
best decision for me, I don’t think I would be ready for a university right out
of high school. I think that it would kind of be a waste of money. When I get
out of high school and go to college, I will be working hard to get a
good career. My brother goes to Ventura College and is studying to be a fireman;
he says it is a really good college and that he planned on staying there until
he finished out his classes. When I go to college, I plan on taking classes for
becoming a nurse. I want to be an ultrasound technician. I think it would be a
good job to be working with people. I always wanted to work with animals when I
was younger, but I soon decided that I would rather work with people. My
friend’s mom is a nurse, and she loves her job. Everyone that I know that is a

My favorite thing about writing my autobiography was telling
others about myself. It’s fun to tell others who you are and what you like to
do. It helps them get to know you better and find out who you really are. The
things that made me more excited about this autobiography were talking about my
family, I really like talking about them and how close we all are. My family
makes me happy, and that’s all you really need to know. I liked doing this about
me because it helps people understand who I really am.
