My sister actually named me Daniel. My sister told my parents to name me Daniel and they let her. Later when I was told this story, my parents told me that my sister named me Daniel because when she was small, in Mexico, she use to watch a show called “Daniel El Travieso” (Dennis the Menace).

There is only one story when I was born; my mom gave birth to me while she had the Chicken Pox. My sister had them and they got on my mom so she had to give birth like that. I am the second of three children, my older sister Teresa is older by 4 years and my younger brother Genaro, is younger by 3 years. I also have two dogs who are named Comet and Star. Star is two years old, and Comet is one year old. I love them both ever so much. I never did spend a lot of time with any of my two grandparents. My grandma from my dad’s side died before I was born. I went to Mexico to go visit my grandparents, which was about 10 years ago. Now, my other grandma has past away and my grandpa from my dad’s side has also passed away.

The thing that is special and unique about me and my family is that, we all get along, we hardly fight, and we always try and go out every weekend. For the holidays, my family and I usually go to our relative’s house and celebrate Christmas at their house. This past Christmas, we actually drove all the way to Illinois to spend time with my family that lives over there. It was a lot of fun and I had a great time over there.

I have lived in Santa Barbara for 12 years, I have lived in Anaheim for 2 weeks, I have lived in Kewanee, Illinois for a week, and now I am living in Oxnard for 5 years now. The city that I like best from all of those has to be Kewanee, Illinois. I liked it the best because it is so peaceful, it seems that everyone over there knows each other. The city is small and it looks like how a country city would look like. The city that I like the least is Oxnard because there is nothing to do here. All there is in Oxnard is a movie theatre. There is nothing else; it’s pretty boring over here.

My favorite hobby is listening to music. I listen to music everyday, music is my life. I listen to any type of music. I listen to Hip-Hop, Rap, any type of Rock, and Mexican music. I like to listen to The Beatles, Kanye West, Eminem, Awol Star, System of a Down, Linking Park, My Chemical Romance, The Beastie Boys, and a Mexican Rock group called Panda.

If I’m not listening to music then I’m watching movies. I like to watch Horror, Suspense, Action, Romance, Documentaries, basically any type of movie. My favorite movies are: Cloverfield, Across the Universe, and Saw 1-2-3-4.

I like to play video games with my friends. We play: Guitar Hero 3, Halo 3, and Fight Night Round 3. When we play, we usually get mad at each other because we are always fighting. We usually have little competitions to see who is better in the games that we play. I usually win so Alex gets mad and starts trying to punch me, I usually dodge them and then I hit him back so we do that constantly.

After school I usually go out and play with my dog Comet. I usually come home and Comet is outside waiting for me to open the door for him. When I go greet him, he is jumping, wagging his tail and licking me. He seems really happy when I come home. At least three times a week, I take him to the park to go out and play fetch. It looks like he enjoys fetching the ball, I have a lot of fun with him.

I used to play football for my school, Oxnard High School. I played for two years, my sophomore year and my junior year. During my sophomore year, I didn’t play at all, I only played for like one play in all that season. Now, my junior year, that’s when all the fun started. I played in the JV team; my positions were Offensive Left Tackle, Left Guard, Center, Right Guard, and Right Guard. I played every position in the offensive line and I also played in special teams. Those were: Kickoff Return, Punt, and Field Goal. I was second string but in two of the games, I got to start the whole game. I was exhausted in the end but I had so much fun. In the end of the season, my team came in first place with eight wins and two losses.

School is fun because you can come and you can be with your friends. School is pretty boring because you have to be stuck in a class for an hour and a half just sitting down and trying to learn. I used to participate in the football team for my school. It was a lot of fun. My favorite subject is English because you get to read a lot of books and stories and I like reading books.

The subject that gave me a lot of headaches was math. It was hard for me trying to figure out the problems that were given to me. Some of it was easy and some of it was really hard. In junior high, I was doing really bad in my math class, so I decided to actually start doing my work and complete all my assignments. In the end, I went from an F to an A, that day, I was awarded the most improved for my class.

I plan to attend Ventura Community College after I graduate from high school. I want to go there because I heard they have a good criminal justice class. I want to be in law enforcement as my career. I want to be a cop because I like the feeling of being able to help other people when they are in need of assistance. I think it’s a wonderful thing to do.

In conclusion, I am a guy who is shy but opens up once we talk more often. I like to listen to music and play video games with friends. I like to have fun in school and out of school. Also, I am a person who wants to make a difference in the world by becoming a police officer.
