Imagine yourself being in a room full of girls screaming
their lungs out. Everyone is screaming, people are fainting all around you. You
see girls trying to get on a platform but are not getting close because of the
security protecting the stage. You see four men coming out of the back of the
stage, the room is now even louder, you try to concentrate on the four guys but
you can’t because the girl jumping in the left is pushing you. As you try to
focus on the four men, you see that three are holding guitars, and one is
holding two sticks. Now everyone is screaming, “Beatles! Beatles! Beatles!” You
finally r
ealize that you are in a room full of hundreds of girls
and guys waiting upon the start of one of the best concerts you will be
witnessing. You realize that you are also screaming with the crowd, chanting,
“Beatles! Beatles! Beatles!” You hear the voice of John Lennon; you start to
scream even louder. You can’t really hear what he is saying because of all the
screaming that is happening around you. You finally hear the music playing and
you realize that they start off the show with one of your favorite songs,
“Help!” You start singing along and you are thinking in your mind, “This
is going to be one of the best concerts ever!”
To me, The Beatles are one of the
best rock groups ever. When I was
ten years old, I used listen to their music
almost everyday. What really got me into The Beatles was that, my dad would put
their CD on every time we would go out. He would always put on
The Beatles Anthology 1. In it there would be some really good songs, for example:
“Help!”, “I Want To Hold Your Hand”, “Shout”, “Twist and Shout”, “Besame Mucho”,
“She Loves You”, and “Can’t Buy Me Love”. Then after, I don’t know why, my dad
got over listening to the same CD every time so he just stopped putting The
Beatles on. That was the last time that I heard of them.
Seven years have passed and I am
sitting down on my sofa watching television. I see a commercial of a movie
called “A
cross the Universe”. In the commercial, it said that what the director
tried to do was that, she tried to get some of The Beatles songs and tried to
make a story out of a certain amount of songs. After seeing that commercial, I
knew right away that I wanted to go watch the movie. I asked my girlfriend at
that time if she wanted to go watch that movie, she said yes so we went to go
see it. After I saw the movie, I fell in love with their music once again. I
would listen to their music every single day. I bought the
“Across the Universe”
Soundtrack. I would listen to that CD everyday; all the songs they sung in that
movie were some of the best Beatles songs ever made. Pretty soon I started
buying a lot of the real versions of the songs from
itunes.
So now, I listen to the real versions of the songs that they sung in the movie.
