The name Celes
te is the name given to me by my parents,
mainly by my dad. He was the one that thought of it. He wanted to name me Soleil
but preferred Celeste instead. My dad liked the name Celeste because it
was a unique name that he hadn’t really heard on any other person. The
definition of my name is Heavenly, and also known as a light blue. When
you say my name, it is pronounced Celeste and actually saying the last “e”.
I wasn’t named after anybody in my family; I have a unique name thanks to my
dad.
My family has a lot of stories about me of when I was
born. They say I was a big child, and that because of me, my dad’s happiness
became a crisis, especially because I was girl, and by that they met the boy
problems and make up and all that good stuff. In my family there are a total of
14 children including myself. My mom had 5 girls and 9 boys. I have 2 younger
sisters who are named Chel-C and Tathiana, and one younger brother that’s named
Joe, 1 older sister named Mercedes, and 8 older brothers named John, Tony,
Edgard, Hugo, Jose, Paul, Michael, and Alex. I am the fourth to last baby of
the family, but the most spoiled of them all. My parents are divorced and each
has custody of 6 of my siblings, so since I live with my mom, I only get to see
six of my siblings and I see the other seven every two weeks. I actually do
remember quiet a lot of things of when my little brothers and sisters were
born. What I remember the most, was when they each tried to walk, they all had
a different way of starting. My brother was the younger of my 2 younger sisters
to start walking. My two sisters were pretty lazy to walk; all they wanted was
to be carried around everywhere. I have actually spent a lot of time with my
grandparents now in days. Luckily for me both of my parent’s parents still live
today. My dad’s parents live back at home in Brazil where I am from so I only
see them twice a year or when it’s possible, I really miss them a lot. My mom’s
parents live here in Oxnard. My mom, sisters and I, live across the street from
her parents, so I see them everyday 24 hours, 7 days a week. I love my
grandparents a lot. My best memory of when I went to grandma’s house was when I
got home from my soccer game. I had just come home from my game and I was
really tired, that I didn’t even eat. My grandma saw me tired so she cooked me
up my favorite food of all times form back home, Brazil. She also had made me
hot chocolate since it was freezing that day and just pampered me that whole day
wouldn’t even let anyone make any noise just so I wouldn’t wake up because I was
tired and had fallen asleep.
My
family and I are unique because we all love the same thing, and that thing is soccer. To us soccer just isn’t a sport, but it also
takes up a part of our lives. Like how the saying goes, “We eat, sleep, and
study soccer.” My great grandpa, grandpa, aunt, and my dad have been or are pro
soccer players for the
Mexican league. My dad plays in team for the
Mexican
team and so does my aunt, but for the Mexican women’s league. Right now I’m the
soccer player of the family. I am 15 years old and I play for the schools team
and an outside team. I was offered a full soccer scholarship to 4 different
universities. I still haven’t made my choice of which to pick, since I’m only a
sophomore right now. Last year while I was playing in my outside team, I was
scouted not just by any scouts, but by the Mexican Women’s League. I was
offered a full 12 year contract to play with either Mexico because I am part
Mexican or with Brazil, since I am Brazilian Women’s selection team. Hopefully
one day I can become a professional soccer player and be a role model to other
young girls.
I
have lived in
many places. The reason is because I am an
army brat. My dad and two of my
brothers are in the army. When my dad was stationed at different countries, we
had to move with him. I went to military school my whole life until last year
my freshmen year. The city I like best would be Oxnard, the reason being that
I have met the most wonderful people ever. One of those people is my
girlfriend. She has helped me out a lot in every situation possible. She is
great and I thank her for that. The city or country I like least was probably
Czech Republic. The reason is because people over there aren’t nice. They are
all rude and mean and don’t really have many manners and there are always fights
going on. I’m glad I came here to the United States.
My
favorite hobby is soccer. It’s more than just a
sport, it’s practically my life. I’ve played
since I was six years old and still play at age
fifteen. Everybody in my family is star
players from their teams and
hopefully I’m seen as a star player myself as well. I watch soccer
everyday on television and practice with my team. When I don’t have
practices with them, I practice everyday for at least three hours. If I
could, I would play it 24 hours and 7 days a week. I like to go out with my
girlfriend and our friends to dinner, bowling, or even the movies. It gets
pretty fun because all of us are wild girls and its trouble when you have a
group of wild girls hanging out together. Our parents get pretty
embarrassed when they take us places or go with us because we do crazy and
daring things. There was a time when my friends, my parents and I went to
the mall. Once we got there we all split up, but when we got together
again, it wasn’t good news for my parents. We were all caught by security
guards because we were running al over the mall. It was pretty funny to
see my parent’s face.
I play
soccer as my sport. What I like best about it is that it is a team sport and
we work as a team. The position I play is called a sweeper. The sweeper is
before the goalie but after the defense. I am actually a pretty good player.
I got scholarships to play for universities. I am on a team right now and my
dad is the coach. The name of the team is called California. We did really
well as a team, that we have been to the finals four years in a row, and
hopefully go again this year.
The best part of school to me
is that I get to hang out with my friends and see my girlfriend all day
for four days a week, even though we hang out most weekends too. What I
dislike about school is all the homework we get. I don’t mind sitting
in classes all day, it’s just the homework. I really do dislike the
homework and worksheets. In school, I participate in a couple of
teams. I am a volleyb all player, a soccer player, and a track runner,
so I’m practicing all year long during fourth period and after school.
I don’t really belong to organizations because I don’t really have time
to be present at meetings and stuff like that.
My
favorite subject is science and biology. The reason being that as my
career I want to be a Crime Scene Investigator
(CSI), and that career
requires a lot of science. I am actually pretty good in science. The
subject that gives me the most headaches would probably be English. Now
don’t get me wrong, I like English class, its just that all the terms you
have to know and stuff, just aren’t for me. I don’t really enjoy English,
although Ms. Brickey or better known as Mrs. Otani is a really good and
fun English teacher. I have received a lot of awards for school as well
as sports. As a matter a fact I am the person in my family that holds the
record for the most awards received since kindergarten. I have relieved
most of them for sports and grades and then for my attendance.
I
plan on going to a four-year university and study forensic studies to be a
CSI. The college I had in mind was
UCLA,
but after researching their programs, they weren’t very big on sciences.
Hopefully I can get into the University of Phoenix here in California and
graduate with the major I want. My plans like I said, were to graduate
high school with good grades, keep on playing soccer hopefully with a
scholarship, graduate college and then after get a stable job and be with
my girlfriend with a family.
I plan on being a detective as
a CSI and just work with sciences. I picked that field because I love and
enjoy working with plants, DNA, and anything that involves science.
I have told you practically all
of my life, for example my hobby, my future, my family, and my plans. I
am sophomore and hopefully people enjoy reading my autobiography. |
