Alex is the name. I happened to get it from my mom, only because she wanted me to have a different name from my brother and my dad. I’m not named after anyone in particularly. I was born in Oxnard CA, on April 15, 1992. I was the finest baby in that hospital. I’ve had a big family; my grandfather Samuel, and grandmother Edna. I’ve never been without them really. I always spend time with them when ever I can because the more time I spend with them the wiser I get. The times I enjoy spending with them are the times we all sit down and talk about stories that happened in my mom’s and uncle’s childhood.

The thing that is special about my family is that we get along with everyone; there is never a time where people don’t like us. My family is also good at what we do, it really doesn’t matter sport especially. My family is big and we always spend time together no matter what and I’d have to say Christmas is the time we all spent it together. My most favorite memory of my family is Thanksgiving, Just spending time with my family when every one is there having fun and enjoying everyone’s company is my favorite family memory.

I have lived in Chicago and Arizona; I’ve lived there because my dad had family there on his side of my family. The homes where big and expensive but they were nice, the part of town my dad lived in all the house were two story. I forgot the towns name but I like Chicago the best because it is my dad’s home town. I don’t really dislike any of my old town because I like to travel a lot and wherever I go, I enjoy being there.

My favorite hobby’s are listening to music and working on cars. I work with my uncle in a garage; I work on car engines while listening to my tones. I like working with my hands. I like taking things apart and putting them back together, it’s just what I do. I also play music on side when I have free time. I play the drums, piano, and the Base guitar. My uncle also helps me with my music, my uncle plays music at my grandfather’s church, and so do I. When I don’t play my music or fix cars with my uncle I find myself playing football a lot. I play it every day at my school from 1:30 to 5:30, Football is my life.

 

While in high school I play football, basketball, and track. I like football the most because I can shine on the field all by myself, I can go out there and just do what I do. In football my position is running back, I love running back because once they hand me the ball it’s my game. I can do what I want with it and run over anyone I want. I am really good at what I do, I am the best at what I do there is no one better. I play for Oxnard high School, I played on JV but now I’m on varsity. My JV year was the best year of football I had, and my team was the best team.

My best vacation was when the whole family and I got out the house to go to a time share. The time share was up in the mountains in Big Bear. The adventures I went on were house back riding, fishing, and going out on the lake just to swim and have a great time. While I there I went to the Big Beat museum  to learn more about what goes on up in the mountains basically just what to look out for. The best thing about the trip I’d say would be the amount of time I spent with my family, just seeing them having a good time made mine even better.

The thing I like about Oxnard High would be the amount of people in the school, the amount of ethnic groups on campus. I also like the fact that the teachers are here to help; I mainly participate in sports because it’s what I love to do. I play football, basketball, and track. I would be in clubs and after school activities but after school I have no time I’m usually in practice.

 My favorite subjects in school would be history because I think it is interesting how the world now is based non what happened five hundred years ago. My hardest class had to be health; I didn’t get most of the meaning and sicknesses so when test came around it was hard to do well. I’ve received multiple awards numerous times but sports would be the most, I’ve received best back for my football team and most valuable player.

 I plan on going to a four year college like USC or a College in Atlanta or North Carolina; I plan on going to Morehouse College in Atlanta. Morehouse is an all Black college that has been a great way for African American men to graduate and get in educations to be a great role in this world. My plans for after school will be getting a good paying job, something I majored in and then be ready for a family of my own. I’d like to major in auto mechanics or in sports therapy but I’d rather play a on a professional team first.

 So to rap it all up I’m just an ordinary kid that likes to do ordinary things on my spare time. I love sports because I’ve done them all my life basically I live and breath sports. I like studying history because it real important to know where I came from, because if I don’t know where you’ve been I'm not going to know where I'm going. Being with my family is the best gift god can give me besides good health.
