I’m not sure why I was named Geovane, but I am actually the only Geovane in my family so maybe my mom wanted a new name in the family. I have 3 brothers; 2 are older and 1 is younger. I like my mom’s family side because they are about my age and I just hang out with them to chill. My dad’s family side is kind of annoying because they act stupid and will blame you for something you didn’t do. I don’t usually spend time with my grandparents because they live pretty far, some live in Mexico and some live out of the state. I pretty much have lived in Oxnard since I was born.

On Holidays my family gets together to enjoy the event. Usually my mom throws a party at our house and invites our relatives to come over and eat. The food is amazing and it even makes you want to get seconds. My grandma comes over for Christmas every year to see how we are doing and have a festivity. About every 2 years we go for about 2 weeks to Mexico to celebrate Christmas over there with our relatives. Christmas and Thanksgiving are the most we celebrate.

For activities I mostly play my guitar but also play some video games on my free time. On the weekends, sometimes I spend about 1 to 2 hours working on Macromedia Flash. Sometimes it can be very tricky and confusing when you make a mistake. I also edit videos; whether its skating videos to special effects, the film industry amuses me.

My family doesn’t travel a lot because most of our relatives live in Oxnard. Maybe on special occasions like on Christmas, we would travel to Mexico to visit my grandma. I sometimes travel on my own time to Ventura to take my little brother to skate and I film him. My family is planning to go to Australia this year which I am really looking forward to.

Sports are great, but I don’t play sports at school. I just exercise on my own at my local park. I pretty much just run everyday which may be consider as track. Sometimes I just go play basketball or football with some friends to kill some time or just have fun. I usually get picked first because I am a pretty fast runner.

School isn’t that great, but there are things that make up for it. I like coming to school because you get to see your friends everyday and hang out with them. I also like school because you learn new things everyday. The thing I hate most about going to school is traffic. When leaving the school it takes about 10 minutes to get out and sometimes other drivers are jerks and don’t let you pass by.

My favorite subjects are science and history. Science because I like learning about space how there are many galaxies and planets out there. History is also somewhat cool because you learn a lot about the past and how wars were. I hate English because writing essays took forever and I’m not a very good writer. I was only good at the vocabulary. In the past I have received only 1 award for improvement.

 I plan on going to Ventura College for two years and then transfer to a university for 2 more years. I chose VC because it looks cool and I hear it’s a great college. My future plan after high school is to save money for maybe 1 year and then go to a college. As a career field I would like to be some sort of film maker whether it’s filming a major motion picture or a T.V. show. I like filming movies on my time and trying out some effects when it comes to editing.

 In conclusion my family doesn’t travel a lot because we mostly celebrate at home. Oxnard is pretty much my hometown since I have been living here since I was born. I enjoy playing my guitar when I am bored and sometimes me and some friends jam in my garage. I don’t plan on going to a college right after school but in about 1 or 2 years I will attend one.
